  • Great, Such a down to earth guy. I'm sure people might be cynical and say that he's cashing in with his connection to the legacy. But hell, wouldn't you after going through all that? I really hope he can reconcile with Paul before it's too late.

  • he left the band to study art

  • Pete Best will forever be a part of the Beatles legend.

  • He might have or might not have been a better drummer than Ringo, but listening to him talk it seems that he just didn't fit their collective personality.

  • If Pete Best and Paul McCartney ever do meet, Pete Best will have to surround himself with so many lawyers to work out all the secrecy and silence clauses that will issue forth from McCartney. Pete will never be able to give another interview after his meeting with McCartney. Is it worth it? McCartney clamps anyone who might say something he doesn't want the world to know about - for fear of ruining his image. He's also the Beatle who had the least to say when it came to the Pete Best sacking.

  • At the time, pop bands weren't expected to last more than a couple of years anyway - no one, including Best, could ever have anticipated what was going to happen.

I think it's lousy that none of them ever gave him so much as a phone call afterwards. However, I presume he gets royalties for the tracks he's on on the Anthologies, though.

  • What about Stu Sutcliffe?
