Items Obtained: Elixir, Brigandine

Steals and Spoils: 2,124 gil, Magic Tag, 941 gil, Hi-Potion, Magician Cloak, 3,800 gil, Phoenix Pinion

Now for some forced battles. With Zidane getting zombied in the previous section, as long as he is the only one alive when the battle ends, I can actually kill the enemies. Luckily all the enemies here are undead, so they are easily killed with an Elixir.

When Zidane says "Vivi...", it's the cue to go to the menu and revive everyone before talking to Vivi. I wait for the Dracozombie attack to try and prevent it from attacking Zidane.

I make equipment changes, purely for AP purposes:
Zidane: The Ogre, Feather Hat, Glass Armlet, Brigandine, Diamond
Ability Up

Garnet: Survival Vest
Vivi: Lightning Staff
Eiko: Lamia's Flute, Emerald

Soulcage is very simple. It too is undead, so an Elixir will end the battle. Also, it will always start the battle with LV5 Death, which does nothing to a level 1 party. This leaves plenty of time to steal before ending the battle. I could have just had Vivi end the battle, but Soulcage holds another Brigandine, which I was trying to steal. Oh well, I'm not redoing this section again just for that.

Zidane masters Steal Gil and Antibody. Garnet masters Ability Up, Silence, Antibody and Blind. Vivi masters Thundara, Fira and Ability Up. Eiko masters Float, Clear Headed and MP+10%.

I didn't really make any big mistakes in this whole section until the very end. I walked the wrong way leaving the Iifa Tree. I am now very far away from the entrance to the Mountain Path, I was just trying not to get a random battle before I saved, so I didn't turn the camera around to see where I was going. It's ok though, since I got through this area about 3 minutes faster than the guide suggests, I can use an extra save on the world map. Who knows if I can do this section this well again, so I'm not redoing it.

Most of the equipment changes you use are for AP purposes, do the abilities come in very useful later or something?

On a few of them. For the most part my efforts to be AP efficient didn't do much of anything for me.

wow elixir makes this boss fight the most useless in the game, perhaps it can be effective against lich??

Elixirs only work here because all the monsters in this video are zombie types. Lich is not a zombie type, but a demon type.

you can cast life on soulcage with dagger and kill it?

Yes, but it isn't fullproof. An Elixir is fullproof.

Once again the lucky streak continues. You could run this circuit 300 times and never have this happen.

Unless you have played this challenge, you have no idea how tense that Zombie battle is. If your party starts off with low ATB, look out.

I forgot to revive my party for soulcage but because it uses lv 5 death it didn't matter.  I was so happy just to get this segment over with.
