Pav bhaji (Marathi: पाव भाजी, also transliterated as pao bhaji and pau bhaji) is a fast food dish native to Maharashtrians and is popular street food all over india, particularly in the Maharashtrian city of Mumbai & Pune.[1] Pav in Marathi means bread, the word Marathi borrowed from Portuguese pão (lit., "bread"). Bhaji is a term for a curry and vegetable dish. Pav bhaji consists of the bhaji (a potato-based curry) and the pav, garnished with coriander and chopped onions.

--------------
Ingredients:

250 gm mixed chopped vegetable
200 gm chopped tomatoes
100 gm butter
2 tsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 large chopped onion
pav bhaji masala
salt to taste
coriander leaves for garnishing
dry fenugreek leaves
lemon
pav
ginger garlic paste
2-3 green chillies
---------------
It is consumed as a snack, between lunch and dinner, particularly by individuals in western India. In this part of India, pav bhaji is available on hand carts popularly known as Pav bhaji chi Gaadi or Pav bhaji varo.

  • @einsteinwallah2 instead of commenting on his accent, why don't u enjoy his cooking ! or simply just don't watch ..

  • @einsteinwallah2 Stick to cooking roast moose.

  • You are saying mess when you should be saying mash. In street food servings chopped onions are also served. Also you ought to know meanings of Pav and Bhaji, still when you show Bhaji making step you are saying "let us make Pav". Pav's are breads almost invariably bought from bakery even by street vendors. Only Bhaji (=curry) is prepared on site. Also you should have mentioned that masala also is bought from store.

  • i'm going to try this tomorrow. thank you very much for this great video :-)
