Documentary - Kosi Katha

As on 24th February 2009, government data on land affected by flooding of river Kosi is as follows: affected area 3.68 lakh hectares, 237,000 houses destroyed, 19,323 cattle lost and 527 human deaths. The government has been spending close to 2 billion ruppees annually. Minimising losses is desirable but maintaining the structures is imperative. This film on farmers and food touches on the question of dignity, survival and human failing when it comes to international aid and food surplus.
