@Myoldnamesdontwork I haven't played the first game but you can choose between a warrior type, a rogue and a sorcerer. The expansion added in monk, barbarian and bard, though you had to do a little computer magic to get access to the barbarian and bard.

Hang on. At 5:21 you say that the hero is convinced he needs to shove Diablo's soulstone into his forehead, but at 1:21 you say Lazarus smashes the soulstone, which is what frees Diablo in the first place. How can the hero take the soulstone into himself if it was already destroyed by Lazarus?

so the player dont get to choose the class? i mean its just the prince going down there to fight diablo right? and he was possessed by diablo in 2 correct? i know it is a very old game probably class system wasn't there yet...

From a chronological perspective, at what point in the story do we, the player, begin Diablo 1? How much of this story is actually seen in the game? It sounds like the player doesn't enter the picture until after pretty much everything happens, assuming the player is hero that shows up and fights his way through the labyrinth and shoves Diablo's soulstone into his forehead.
