Andy Andrews interviews Erik Weihenmayer and they talk about accepting responsibility,the power of persistence and how to channel fear into actions. By the age of 13 Eric had lost his sight due to a rare disease called retina skesis. But, it's what he's done since then that's gained him national attention. Erik Weihenmayer is the only blind person to have climbed the "Seven Summits," the tallest peak on every continent. He has scaled the 3000 foot rock face of El Capitan, skied down the tallest peak in Europe, and guided Tibetan blind teenagers to 21,500 feet on the north side of Mt. Everest. Erik is also a prolific speaker and author of two books.

The Seven Summits & their location:

1. Mt. Kilimanjaro, Africa, 19,340 ft.
2. Mt. McKinley, Alaska, 20,320 ft.
3. Mt. Elbrus, Europe, 16,926 ft.
4. Mt. Everest, Europe, 29,035 ft.
5. Mt. Aconcagua, South America, 22,841 ft.
6. Carstensz Pyramid, Indonesia Region, 16,023 ft.
7. Mt. Vinson, Antarctica, 16,067 ft.
