  • many residents in nursing homes are very difficult to deal with. they are angry, mean, demanding, hostile, and annoying. but i find that if you're nice to them and give them everything they need and talk them, someone to talk to is all they want.many of them beg me to stay in their rooms because they want to talk and thats all. when you get to know, you will find that they are just lonely and need a friend.many of them are ignored and nobody wants to be ignored.i've seen so much in five years

  • God love these people. And GOD LOVE the assistants!!!!

  • Great video. .so inspiring

  • Love my job. Not only working with the elderly. I work with young patients/residents and I love them.

  • You have to be loving. If you aren't loving, go be an accountant, or an actress, or a fill in the blank with your passion. Don't be a care aid or a nurse's assistant or a cna if you can not easily be loving patient. It will not be enjoyable for you. You have a gift, find out what comes easily to you and go in that direction. This is my best advice. I am a care aide and I love it but it is demanding. I wish you the best!

  • @lashea1977 bleh its hard when youre not really a people person (im task oriented i like to get things done) to work with the needy ones cos they want to suck up all your time and you have 29 more residents to work with, call bells going off, wheel chairs to wash, ADLs to complete, vitals to get........

  • I am going to become a nursing assistant ( not certified.) I don't care if CNA or not, I am eager to help people out!

  • good video

  • It's great to have it from their perspective :)

  • hi , im planning to get CNA for my credit class next sem . im a li'l bit emotional kind of person . do you think i can make it ?

  • All I can say is being a cna is hard work. On my hall I have 16 residents that are mine but even though it is hard work I love my job. Yes their are some that are difficult to deal with but their are ppl like that at any job.. and just think someday we will all be on the other end of this.. At least when I look back I can say I did all I could for my residents to make life better for them...My biggest problem is that I get attached and let me tell you it is horrible to watch them die...

  • I just became a cna and I am happy, I love old people too. That was a sweet comment
