  • Why doesn't he have the red coloration? too young?

  • He does have a LOT of red. But the red color is a combination of genetics and diet. Not all arapaima have it.

  • Nope. Arapaima do very well with other smaller fish when cared for properly. He is hand fed twice daily, and knows his keepers very well. There is no danger of him eating his tankmates.

  • thats a beautiful tank!!! nice arapaima too

  • Nice move on jumping on the little guy. Looks like he struggled a lot when you first put him in the carrier. Nice fish though.

  • what aquarium is this ?

  • looks dangerous to be running with that fish on a wet floor and all.... good job

  • Wont he just get hungry and eat all those other fish evenutally and be huge ?
