@yes350yes I have this same webcam and after getting the usb cable to relax it will sit flat pretty good. Of course it is very light in weight so does not take much to move it when sitting flat.

Ok IM brand new to web cams but in looking this looks like one I could be interested in for the money and you sound fine. But the problem I have is I have an old monitor "NEC MULTISYNC 97F" and this cam will not attach to it but I do have desk shelving that runs across and above the monitor by 2" . So could this cam sit flat on a shelf ok?

I don't own this webcam but further looking at this video i'm drawing some concerns. Are you really using that webcam for this video?

That has outstanding video quality for a $40 webcam! The sound is terrible but can't complain for spending $40 bucks and getting picture like! Just use an external mic!

I use a Microsoft Lifecam HD, it's really good and tiny, but the main problem I have with it is that you CANNOT TURN OFF THE DAMN MIC AND USE A HEADSET WITH IT!!

to add my two cents to the shortcoming about not being fully compatible with mac systems is, "GOOD!" There are too many things that are exclusive to macs and it pisses me off.
