  • I've been trying to breed more shrimps like this but had no luck! I'm going to keep trying and I'll refine my method and I'll put it up here or on a new vid. It worked on this occassion though and i had over 200 shrimp.

  • Hi Dave, nice video & logs you'd kept there.. My Amano had recently gave birth to a lot of larvae too.. Just to check, you said 24SG, is it the same as "1.002" on the glass type hydrometer? Thanks!

  • @puppy06cow09 No I mean 1.024 on the glass hydrometer. Good luck I'm currently struggling to repeat my succes!

  • How long will the baby shrimp reach maturity? I mean may be around 10 cm or more.Post to me at Ariffinhb@yahoo.com

  • I found some kind of freshwater shrimp when I gathered some moss and algae from the lake. I first thought they were young crawfish, but when they grew I saw that they were not. Then one looked like a brine shrimp. Still I can't figure it out. I'll take some photos and a video and post it soon. I hope someone can help me figure it out. Thanks.

  • @davemonkey314 1.024 are salinity for marine tanks rite? Saw on a few sites recommending between 1.002 to 1.005 as brackish... Will try & see how it goes... Good luck to you Dave!!

  • Thank for nice "how to" guide

  • @FrostyVideoAlaska A few months? Mine hatch every 5 weeks or so!

  • @davemonkey314 Check, and double check. That was the quickest way so far to get rid of those pesky zoes. My tank is all nice and quiet now. So much for my firtst effort. I'll be stopping at a pet store in a few months to get some salt water aquarium salt.

  • @FrostyVideoAlaska I tried fresh sea water from the North sea in England and it didn't work, the zoes died almost instantly. Try one and sea what happens. You can use Rock salt from your kitchen apparently but it doesn't contain the extra minerals they put in the Marine tank salt
