Hello - I got pretty good grades overall -- NYU looks at grades, bu they also look a lot at your extra-curricular activities and how innovative those things are.

I believe it is just the Department of Journalism - part of NYU's College of Arts and Sciences

I'm currently an eighth grader, but I dream of attending NYU! I love the idea of living in the city, and the fact that the fraternities and sororities are not a major part of college life.

How is the psychology program at NYU? I really would like to major in psychology. I am also interested in Theater, but I don't believe that I am as die-hard and cutthroat as many of those who would attend for performance arts.

my SAT score was a 1790 and my gpa was 3.9 and i did a lot of community service and clubs and stuff and i still got in...they dont care as much about SAT scores

I'm trying to get into the NYU film school. I'm taking all the highest level courses and I'm not doing so well (B's and C's) and I never have any time to build up a film portfolio and practice shooting short films. I'm thinking I should drop down in either math or science since I'm not interested in either of those. What would you recommend? Please respond!

@alexman24893 Unless you get financial aid, it's the same for everyone. You're looking at almost $60,000 a year.

@TheChaiTeaLatte Yes. The dance program is very good. All of the performing arts programs at Tisch are very good.

@alidi13 Little. Depends on your grades, though, and what school you're applying to. I know some transfers who came in with 4.0 GPAs who got scholarships.
