Spies "Diplomacy - CIA Style": Iran

From the 1992 A&E series "Spies". The 1/2 hour show deals with CIA operations in foreign countries. This segment is about CIA Directer Allen Dulles' successful 1953 attempt to overthrow the pro-Soviet government of Mohammed Mossadegh -- which had nationalized the Aramco oil company -- and install the US-friendly Shah Reza Pahlevi. The CIA agent who masterminded this operation was Kermit Roosevelt, grandson of TR.

Something to note: you can elect the most even-handed, honest, and fair-minded to rule and they are still at the mercy of the people. And people, as has been shown, can be persuaded to demand change without an election, without listening to argument or reason. Is there always a backer in the shadows, one that eggs the mob on and directs it? As an example, look at Egypt. Look at Iraq. Look at Afghanistan. Then ask yourself: Who stands to gain and gain what?

it might seem thats what it is about, but in all honesty its not. America has been the most succesful country in the world. Why? Because we believe we are free. full of lies and bullshit!!! By over throwing Dr.Mossadegh_a democraticaly elected PM_ US showed they don't believe in democracy at all they only seek their benefit and certainly oil,the same as what they are after in Iraq !
