@JustineBieberxoxo GIMP does rock. Libre Office is much better than OpenOffice imho, and I have not used Blender3D so may check that out. nice.

See the thing is... most people don't want to spend months trying different operating systems out, that's why they go to you for advice on which one is best for them. This video doesn't really address their queries.
Answer: MAC if you're an artist, a musician or a film maker. PC if you're a gamer or if you need to use CAD software. Linux if you have a genuine interest in computers, want to be part of an open source movement, want to be able to tweak your system and want stuff for free.

Glaven!

@ramonite in my opinion, those who dont like linux either A- arent experienced computer users who therefore don't understand the appeal... or (like me) B- can see that appeal, but use adobe graphics software for work and consider ALL other software of this type to be inferior to adobe's.

@filippo333 OpenOffice, Blender3D, the GIMP. Those are good alternatives(I use Blender and OpenOffice on my Windows rig too, and replaced GIMP with Paint.NET for now, I want to learn to use it.)
I don't have an alternative to Steam, then again I dont really need one. But there is WineX and you can just play free games like FlightGear, Teeworlds and Vendetta Online.

@filippo333 so you dont know wine right?

@icfnord, yes. Also VMS (or, OpenVMS) for Alpha and I64. I run them happily here.
