90 days detention for suspected terrorists - A debate

Hillary Ben (a man (yes, I know!) and a Labour MP) wants to increase the number of days detention of suspected terrorists to 90 days without charge - You're guity until they can prove it! (give or take 14.. no 28.. no, now it might even be 90 days = 3 months of your life let alone any stigma attached!)
David Davis (Conservative) resigned as MP becuase he disagreed with this point - However, was his resignation just spin and brownie points for the Conservative party (the party not in power)?
He voted for 28 days detention without conviction and uses the argument of the Magna Carta to try and get his point across (an old English relic that would be better framed and looked at in a museum).
Either way it's **** for whoever gets charged and those that WERE charged and subsequently proven not guilty can only fuel the argument of the extremist minority that this charge was set out against. A minority.

@danreednetworkfans David Davis is just an egotistic Appeaser.
You either take UKIP's Policy or Labour's Policy.
The conservatives are just trying to please everyone and in the end they please no one.

Thank God for David Davis and his finally putting his foot down against the horrible Brown and his horrible horrible policies. Brown wants us to live in a country where any one of us can be locked up by the State for 6weeks without even being told why!
