What Is Your Life's Blueprint?

This is a reading of the Dr. Martin Luther King speech, sometimes called "The Street Sweeper". The purpose of this video is to make people aware that in 1967, Dr. King understood that education, perseverance, and self-worth was going to change more than all of the politicians and legislation combined. At a time when we have 30% dropout rate, it's important to hear these words and make certain that our children have a blueprint for their lives. This is part of the Political Common Sense for America video series.

Excellent reading of Dr. King's words. I too agree that these words were not only for the time that Dr. King delivered this speech, but it is one that should be shared with our young people today, and not just our young people, but there is a message there for the older generation as well. I plan to attend some of the dedication ceremonies for the Dr, Martin Luther King Jr. memorial later this month in Washington DC. If you ever find an audio of Dr. King giving this speech, please pass it along.

Brian thanks for sharing Dr. King's words with us. I hadn't heard that speech before, but I'm sure glad I heard it today. What a poignant message for the times we are living in...what a critical message for not only our children, but for all of us. Change starts with each and evey one of us, and this is the type of video that should go viral....because the world needs to hear it and live by it.
