Weirdos with Personality Disorders?

Reply to TheStarvingSoprano. This isn't a reply to her specifically, but to the person in her video who said denigrating things about us. I explained that to her in her comment section. This isn't about her. :)

There's been some suggestion that the people on You Tube are weirdos with personality disorders?! Well, I have to tell you that I do suffer from a disorder, and I'm so sorry that I suffer from this horrible disease called, "Inexplicible Multiple Accent Disorder." It is not my fault. It comes out and I can't help it. It is terrible. You just can't help these things. People are people. You're gonna get what you're gonna get. It's You Tube. It's like the world. You're gonna get what you're gonna get. But we're not weirdos. I'm not a weirdo. I don't even like that. I'm a regular human being with -- uh -- feelings. You know I got feelings. And, uh, you don't have to hurt my feelings. I don't need that. I'm a regular human being.

There are all kinds of people here. I'm a retired public servant trying to be useful. You Tube is the perfect platform for that. But if I can make a video and make a few people laugh, well, that makes me very happy and I feel like I'm still being useful. If you need credentials, I'm desended from a long line of humans. But I have made friends here, and very good friends ... kind hearted people, loving, sense of humor, supportive. We don't belittle each other. We support each other. And we are a community.

Uh ... You Tube. Who's on You Tube? The White House has an account on You Tube. NASA is here. The Smithsonian is here. College professors are here. There's a clinical psychologist on You Tube. Diswashers, gas station attendants ... cab drivers. people who work in the auto industry. People who are concerned about their jobs in this economy. People who worry about what will happen tomorrow ... people who care about the future. People who love their families are here. People who have no families are here.

And it makes me very angry that somebody would suggest that we're just a bunch of weirdos. to belittle me, and to belittle my friends here. So it's made me mad, but I'll get over it.

What we have in You Tube, Are you listening? We have something here that no era in history has known. And we have yet to use our channels to their full potentials. This is one of the most marvelous platforms for freedom of speech you could ever have. My first suggestion is not to abuse your channel, and not to take it lightly. but people can do what they want. Some people come here to have a good time, and they're just here to have a good time, and that's fine. I say as long as they're not hurting anybody. There are people who come and they don't understand that community is here. That's the world. There are friends here I love dearly. I've been here two and a half years.

That's all I wanted to say.

So, on behalf of every citizen in the United States, of every citizen of every allied nation in the world who is here trying to do positive things, I just wanted to say to the person who would call us "'weirdos with personality disorders," [Bronx Cheer].

I take pride in being a weirdo. I also seek out fellow weirdos on youtube. So called "normal" people scare me - the ones that remind me of stepford wives. Who are they, really? Who decides what constitutes a personality disorder? Is there a prototype personality that everyone is supposed to emulate? If we all had this personality, wouldn't we all just be exactly the same?

If whoever thinks we're weirdos would rather live in a world of one dimensional people, s/he has the disorder.

"Stepford wife" seems as accurate a definition as any. It's as though their personalities have been bleached. They should scare you.

I also think that you totally fooled me into thinking that you had a Russian/Baltic accent.

And in closing, I think that the world should find more uses for tongue depressors and turkey basters, not necessarily together though, that might be dangerous.

The last time I was there he gave me a disposable, plastic speculum when I told him it would make a great "skeleton" for a duck puppet.
