I agree with you that prevention is better than cure, but what if the contraception fails, what if the pregnancy is the result of something totally horrific like a rape?

What is the mother supposed to tell her child? Oh you're daddy is a rapist.

Yes; Every baby has a right to life, but what if the Mother has no money, or she really does hate the baby, and she abuses it.

I just think it's far better to have an abortion than to bring a baby into a really shitty,environment with no love or care

Abortion is wrong. But there would be less of them if women were supported more, emotionally and financially. :)

This topic is a double whammy. Abortions are bad when you got pregnant, pay for the consequence. But if someone is rapped then it is accepted. Either way both sides are wrong. It's like being in a pool full of piss and someone comes over to dump shit on you. Do you stay up and take the shit or do you go under the piss? But then, why the hell are you in a pool full of piss anyways?

Well you are one of the lucky ones. A friend of mine was adopted and his family are a good family, but unfortunately he has suffered from depression and he thinks it's from him being adopted and he has attempted suicide on numerous occasions. He was always wondering what his birth Mum was like. So he tracked her down, and she turned out to be a complete and total bitch, and he wished that she had had an abortion insted of giving him up for adoption.

@ILoveMadonnaForever thats why theres a thing called adoption. i came from a mom whos bf ran away once he heard she was pregnant. she scheduled an appointment for an abortion but changed her mind. i got adopted and im thankful she gave me away. otherwise i would be dead.

@MrTruthAddict No, the wise approach would be to control yourself and not even put yourself in that position in the first place. Then, you wouldn't even have to worry about being pregnant or getting an STD in the second place. That even makes common sense. It's called Personal Responsibility. And if you're going to put yourself in that position, you ought to be prepared to handle the responsibilities that come with it and not just kill the kid or foist the responsibility off on other people!
