  • Why do you have a touch keypad and a standard one next to each other? Also, the Normal keypad looks like it's permanant there, is this true or false?

  • @Tecwhizz If you call double sided tape permanent then yes... it is.

  • Why are your keypads in the closet?

  • @TDFG4602 My house has walls that you can't drill into from the attic or the crawlspace. So I had to put these next to the panel in my closet.

  • 2:28 song playing!:)

  • Don't you have your front door set as a final exit door so once that door is shut the entry delay time stops and the alarm automatically sets after 3 seconds of closure ? You should it will stop you getting in your car and driving away with 30 seconds left and someone coming through the back door and then the system not seeing because of the open zone.

  • Entry time too long ! You can be in and out in that time. I'd set it 35-40secs max not 65.

  • @notta3d You gotta get a GlassBreak detector, the contacts will not trip the alarm if they dont open the door!

  • Thanks for the video. I'm doing some research on DIY home security systems. What I've found has made me ask a few questions. Your video for example, if I were to break your sliding glass door window and step through what good are the contacts? My sliding glass door is a concern of mine. Also, If I were to open the front door what's to prevent me from ripping that panel off the wall and smashing it into pieces for example. I know all this is far fetched but could be things to think about.

  • How loud is the siren (db)? also is there an external one or is it just the one in the keypad?

  • I have a vista 20p and was wondering how to install an extra 6150 rf keypad.Do you know the commands to enter

  • what was the sound saying?

  • Thanks for making this video. Does Honeywell still make the "Symphony" keypad ?

All I could download was a 2007 version of the manual.

I was thinking either they discontinued it or are just very slow on their updates.

I'm thinking of going with this panel but pricewise the Vista 20P is hard to beat especially with only 6-8 zones....
