One more quick test of the new (to me) CAD M179 mics that I'm running on my five toms. I apologize for the NyQuil/Sudafed haze - got socked with a bad cold!

  • Great sound! Have you compared the 179 to the E60? Also, gotta know what you're using on the kick! Great, tight Sound.

  • @iamhaydenwilliams I haven't tried the E60 - so many mics, so little time...The kick was probably a Beta52 just inside the hole and a 6" Morel driver that I converted to a "subkick" in front of the drum.

  • great! =D how much is one of those?

  • @danmarcelino Hey Dan - how much is one of what?

  • @bleener hahah sorry i meant how much is each of the cad m179 mics =]

  • @danmarcelino I suppose it depends on where you buy them, but they seem to be around $170 each at most places.
