2009 BMW F650GS Twin versus a 2000 Honda Accord EX V6. We did 4 runs, Wet, Semi-Wet, and 2 Dry. They were dead even on the wet and semi-wet, but the BMW out stopped the Honda in the dry.

  • BMW lent me this bike for 2 days and the brakes were terrible!

They felt very spongy and brake pads were poor making the abs useless.

  • Can you really squeeze it all the way without the wheels locking?

  • Cool, but I think it would take me some time to get used to the abs...wanting to slam the brakes on would make me feel like they will lock up. It's a great idea since if something did surprise me and I didn't have allot of reaction time I would probably slam on the brakes on my bike. I wish that my Dyna Fat Bob came with abs for how much it cost...but I believe they only put it on the bigger touring bikes.

  • @Elvaynor i don't understand how your reply is relevant to my comment. anyways, locked arms only transfers more weight to the front wheel

  • Next time do the test with a 2009 Honda Accord.

  • i prefer the honda, its much safer.

  • @mkrmec i think a lot of riding skills will be picked up as you go along but the instructors do provided a pretty good foundation for people to work on

  • @xkakashix12 yeah you're right. It's just funny that you get instructed otherwise in driving schools :D

  • @mkrmec ideally you wouldn't lose control in a straight line but locked arms prevents maneuverability when it's necessary and any little imperfection on the road will send you flying because locked arms prevents dampening in your body
