The violent response to peaceful gathering is clearly being tolerated at all levels. Why is this?
We go to war for this sort of thing happening in other countries, yet we allow it to happen here at home. IMHO this country has gone over the edge and the Gov. is no longer willing to respect the people's rights which are supposed to be guarded by the constitution.
The question becomes; By the actions of the police and local government, should Americans assume the Constitution is no longer valid?

The times in which we find ourselves are a replay of history , this battle between freedom of the individule verses the control of the elite and powerful played out in the 60's their movement had their leaders slain by assassins ,. THE OWS has no leaders to slay and once again the battle for freedom and equality rages,. the shifting of the times and expression of the world through love and understanding has begun yet the passing of the ego age will not go with grace nor indignities from elites.

If that were true about the FBI and Homeland Security, then somebody in those offices has to go to jail, as they are sworn to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States, they are in direct violation of our nations highest Laws and there is no excuse. They are hiding behind badges and that makes for some sorry individuals, there house needs cleaning and disinfection.

This so called Mayor is no longer fit for service and should be romoved preferably by citizens arrest this Clown who now lives in Cloud Cuckoo Land is no longer mentally able to look after the intersts of the people of New York by the way he is a SERVANT OF THE PEOPLE he seems to have forgotten that detail.

Some one at the federal level is coordinating cities to over react to the demonstrations... These people are not stupid, the CIA has mastered propaganda, misinformation, and ousting of dictators by faking grass roots revolutions. Why they are tricking local governments into upsetting people and making the protest bigger? Feels like they are stoking the fire until it is big enough to justify the national guard. Think about it, protest happen all the time, why is this one treated different?

This is the simplest proof possible our democracy is failing- those in power, giving the orders, are so fully in control that there is no one capable of adequately dissenting to create the more reasonable result (public safety). This reeks of a private company making bad calls to responses of outcry from ground level employees. Democracy has been hijacked even on the lowest municipal level

IF federal agencies such as the FBI & Homeland Security ARE involved in the violent attacks against the Occupy movement... IMO, Obama needs to get into the mix here and make it clear that these actions will not be sactioned in our country. If mayors are collectively directing their local law enforcement to ignore the civil liberties of peaceful demonstrators... that's one thing. But to have FEDERAL agencies directing and advising them, in these despicable actions... that's totally wrong.
