We had a Berlingo diesel that died and we needed another car urgently and saw the Volvo. When i say its immaculate it is like it just came off the line, perfect. But after only having it a month our fuel bill has tripled! We drive it as careful as we can but its just naturally juicy. Gonna get another Berlingo, boring i know but very practical cars. @tilerman You're not lying about about it being "thirsty." I have the turbo version and the digital readout says it's getting 18.5 average MPG in the city, but I don't believe it. In stop and go traffic, it guzzles gas. I took it on a 700 Mile road trip a couple of weeks ago and was able to drive more than 400 miles on a tank, at 70MPH, so that wasn't too bad, but I still think it could be better.

just got one of these, 1 owner from new with full Volvo history and 80,000 miles. Immaculate without a mark on it and a lovely car to drive and i don't care if its 'old'. Bit thirsty though.

I like the 850s my dad is about to buy one a 1994 wagon with no turbo leather or airbags(i like volvos) but dayum fuck getting one w/out traction control even or side airbags.

All 850s in the US have come standard with dual airbags since their manufacturing in 1992. Side airbags were introduced for the 1995 model year in 1994. Unless the car had them removed or is a non-US market model(w/driver's only), it should have airbags.
