  • I hope to follow your trip since you'll be two years ahead of us. Please stay in touch. I will send info to your e-mail address. Let me know if you do not receive it. Thanks

  • this next December my girlfriend and I are leaving on a 5 year round the world voyage on our Cal-40. They are wonderful boats, fast and yet sea worthy.

  • Leaving in ~ 2 years for Chile, then west. Bon voyage.

  • well we just might see you out there someday. We are going around the Horn from East Towards West. The boat is called Siberian Sea and has a dark blue hull. Yes, Chile is also on the list for us. From what I gather it seems alot like Southeast Alaska.

  • Where are you/ Siberian Sea located now?

  • You kidding? It's my son and his friends and they're just lazin' on a sunny afternoon.

  • Background music is Jimmy Reed who was very popular in the 50's and 60's. He influenced a lot of people, especially the Rolling Stones. In some songs you can hear his wife doing subdued background vocals. Makes great sailing music. Glad you liked it.

  • Great musical background! Good job!

  • Luffing sail, winch handles still in....yep...definitely "lazin'."

  • Oh go starch your tie :)))

  • Blessings for your voyage, was always my fathers and my dream for our Cal 40 and it just never happened. I did put over 50,000 miles on her between 74 and 03. tugs at my heartstrings from my very high and dry mountaintop home in north eastern WA state. There was a period I said I never cared to see another drop of salt water ever again lol, now I'm not so sure. Via con Dios !!!

  • the vessel is located in Landcaster VA USA. Its been there for three years as we went through all its systems as well as repowed with a new diesel engine. My girlfriend is from France and I'm here in Sedrot Israel. Hurrican season ends in Nov for the Caribbean so in Dec we put the boat back in the water and after sea testing if all looks good we take off for the Caribbean. I assume your located in California.
