Amazing Grace Singing by the Valor- group of young men dedicated to the Lord, proclaiming the Message throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. Their talent and distinctive musical style have been compared to such diverse groups as Take 6, Wintley Phipps in medley, Acappella, and the Gaither Vocal Band

  • @randyjsing Yeah, it's pretty clear that other than PDK, this trio is not composed of "native" a capella singers (meaning people whose first preference is to perform sans musical accompaniment). Still, because of PDK, it's pretty excellent. That guy is a wonder.

  • @bass1bone cont...in truth, the guy on the right is mostly singing tenor 2 and sometimes he pops up to tenor 1...any way you look at it a part is missing AND at times the tuning of this live performance is pretty bad. No hating...that's just the honest truth, although David Paul Kennamer has an incredible bass voice and he sounded just fine. The other guys have great voices, but they struggled at times during this song on this particular day.

  • @bass1bone let's see...On Acappella Platinum Gary Moyers sang Tenor 1 on the song "Humble Thyself..." and Duane Adams (formerly the bass) sang a Tenor 2 part that was higher than the melody. George Pendergrass sang the lead which was a bit low, and Robert Guy sang bass. 4 parts. That's all. It's a true statement to say that some songs had multiple tracks, but this one was not the case. It's admirable that Valor does this with 3 people but...cont...

  • this isn't amazing grace. it's called "humble thyself (in the sight of the lord)"

  • Great voices but they destroyed that song.

  • The tone of the bass singer's voice is amazing in this video, and beleive me, being a musician and having heard quite a few bass singers, I know great sound and tone when I heard it :)

Thank you so much for uploading this one like myself could only dream of being able to sing bass like that :)

  • This is an excellent live version of the song "Humble Thyself" from Acappella's CD Acappella Platinum. It's kind of interesting that Acappella had at least 4 voices singing on that song (and probably had a couple of their singers singing multiple parts on the recording), whereas Valor only has the 3 singers here.
