Leaving a restaurant, probably pissin people off bein so loud. This time the mount is on my helmet, so the waviness from the vibrations of the bike is gone.
It's an 08 Buell XB12R Firebolt. The on-bike vid I took has the mount on the plastic scoop on the left side, between the oil cooler and the frame. I'm going to try to record using the suction cup mount on the tank and see how it goes
What's the bike model number. We'll look up photos...might have a good idea for you.
Do you have our Ride HERO clamp mount for handlebars and tubes? If you use that with a strip of rubber between it and the tube...you should be golden. We test on a KTM 525 Enduro on the engine cradle tubing and it works like a charm.
My other vid I've posted was set to LO, and I can barely hear anything at all. I wish there was a middle ground between the two settings. And since my bike is a Buell there really isn't a place on the bike that doesn't vibrate other than the clipons, and that's only because I have huge bar end weights on them.
Set the sound to LO and you will still hear the motor but will not have wind noise issue. If you had waviness in the video when on the bike...try a slightly different mounting location. Sometimes all it takes is a few inches to get away from a vibration "hotspot". Set sound to LO when mounting on bike and sound will be killer. LO sound setting is the high vibration sound setting...LO keeps the sound good. Have fun with your GoPro!
