Can you tell me something? I have vista on my acer aspire 6930 laptop and I want to install bsd next to it but without losing anything. I was trying to use ubuntu 9.04 64bit PL but i had problems because without reasons he couldn't use free space for installation or even create new partitions( in english version was no problems). Why don't ask me! It was the last time i was installing that distro. So! is there option to choose free space in disk or i have to make empty partition for installation

Why would somebody use BSD instead of Linux?
Are there some advantages?
Looks like just another KDE Linux distro to me, but I must be wrong :)

FreeBSD is an entirely different Operating system with it's own advantages. It is known for its rock hard stability and powers some of Yahoo's servers. PC-BSD is based on FreeBSD but has additional GUI tools which makes it much more user friendly. So you would prefer PC-BSD if you want the stability offered by BSD. I run both BSDs and Linux. For end users it makes little difference I guess.
