Buell blast mods

Just showing more mods to the buell, after I made this video i cleaned the bike and shined it up real good. This is a 2004 buell blast with a streetfighter headlight, new turn signals and mirrors and a bit of a joke but sort of serious, gps system suctioned onto the gas tank cover. I do intend to find a way to stick it to the handle bars. Soon to come are carburator mods, and a velocity stack, stay tuned.

Are those the factory handle bars? What size handle bars are they? Iv been trying to change the handle bars on blast. I'm having a hard time find out the size.

@Wittywacker504 As far as I know they are factory. I haven't looked up much about handle bar mods but I know there are people with blasts that have superbike bars on theirs. Some people fabricate rearsets for their blasts, put superbike bars on, and turn it into more of a crotch rocket style bike.

Yeah that's what iv been looking at, Either suberbike or bikemasters...But Iv been a bit conflicted on the standard handle bar size an 04 blast uses. Your blast came out NICE btw.

nice bike bro, about the GPS try using a ezpass holder, tthats what i used in mine with some velcro and it works great, tested at 100+ and didnt move at all. good luck. ride safe

@hzuiel Oh and yes, I already got the superboot, there's no way around it. I"ve seen some complicated setups for sale on ebay that have a support that goes down to the crankcase somehow but it's just not worth it. The method I'm doing only costs about 76 bucks, instead of 160 for some complicated contraption that probably produces less results. I'm debating about whether to go right ahead with the stuff i have right now, or wait and do the dial-a-jet and yost tube at the time time.

@KingKornholio I think people just throw a little baby cone filter on the crankcase breather, i was wondering about that so I'll doublecheck that. I think the velocity stack takes any 3 or 3 1/2 inch filter, the lower profile, the better, otherwise it will jam into your leg. I've seen one at o'reilly auto that's flat, kinda reminicent of a muscle car air breather. The thing i'm using is acutally a high particulate mesh, so it's flat across the velocity stack, instead of an actual filter.

I've poked around Buellforums quite substantially, but what you said simplifies things! What sort of cone filter is recommended? And are you planning to pick up the 'Superboot' for the stack? And one more annoying question :P, what do you intend to do for the crankcase breather? A catch-can setup?

@KingKornholio If you want a plethora of information join buellforums(dot)com, however to answer your question directly, you get get a plastic velocity stack made specifically for the carb on the buell blast at americansportbike(dot)com for 20$, and while you're at it you can have them throw some jets in for a few dollars a piece from the same website, or get jets directly from a harley dealership. Then get a new intake gasket from a buell dealership for 1$ and fit a cone filter on the stack.

Whereabouts are you getting the parts for the velocity stack, and do you have a link that describes the procedure to make one? A little bit of searching has left me more confused than when I started, lol.
