All of our quarterbacks have looked great this year, just one thing scares me about both Bolden and Newsome being injured, Matt McGloin, although talented, is our last hope against Michigan. If he goes down, we're left with big unknown factor Shane McGregor. He comes from an Altoona suburb, so I want to see him do well, but I'd feel safer seeing him get playing time against Eastern Illinois next year than have to play a team like Michigan.
@BassAssassin9 He sure looked good against YSU. Liked his pocket presence, and he's got a good release. Great potential...and we haven't even seen him run yet. Bama will have to gameplan for both Bolden and Newsome...so that's a good thing.
Recall early on in the 2005 season...Robinson had a big fumbling problem (I think he lost the ball like 3 times against Northwestern). It's something that's easily corrected. I think we'll see both Newsome and Bolden for a while this year, but I would hope they settle on one QB at one point.
If Newsome starts, we are in trouble. Our offense might as well be two plays: HB screen and QB draw. He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat and he fumbles b/c he carries the ball like a loaf of bread. This is not going to be a good year as it is, so start Bolden and play for the future.
@tld168 If you tried to make a logical argument, I'm pretty sure you're the one that failed. Who, exactly, will be the three quarterbacks that are better than Newsome? Hmm?
McGloin? Ok, you think a walk-on with a fraction of Newsome's limited experience is better than Kevin.
Jones? Wow, that Blue-White Game was some serious stuff, huh? I mean, geez, Aric Heffelfinger is in the Pro Bowl this year, right?
Bolden? I'm sure his three weeks on campus is plenty of time to be ready for Alabama.
he's a little careless with that ball.
