This is a typical Toshiba lift of the 1970s. It consists entirely of original Toshiba fittings. The alarm bell button with the Chinese character '呼' is especially symbolic.

The propulsion motor utilizes a very typical Toshiba relay switchbox, which operates rather loudly. This is not audible in the video but still the starting and stopping of the top propulsion motor itself is clearly heard.

This elevator model was very popular in the 1970s. It was used in private apartment buildings, industrial buildings and even government rental apartment blocks. Analogous to this passenger lift, also with the same powertrain is a 1970s Toshiba goods elevator, which features folding-gate type wide inner and outer manual landing doors.

此電梯型號在1970年代非常之流行，用於私人住宅大廈、工業大廈甚至政府的出租住宅樓宇。跟這部客運升降機屬同一系列並裝有同一驅動裝置的，是一部1970年代的東芝貨­運電梯，裝有摺閘式的寬闊內外手動機門。

By the way, quite a lot of examples of this elevator model have the door opened just before the car has levelled off completely on arrival.

i have a few otis elevators on my videos that have done this they stop when the doors open half way but you can still see the car trying to level
