The Enchanted Forest was a theme park in Ellicott City, Maryland that first opened to the public in 1955 and was in operation until it closed down for good in 1995. Many of the attractions were based on characters from fairy tales and nursery rhymes and they appealed primarily to families with small children.

After the park closed, half the land was turned into a shopping center. This video shows what the place looks like today. As you can see, it looks like any other North American shopping center with two major distinctions: Old King Cole pointing in the general direction of the shopping center, and the original amusement park entrance (which is now locked) that resembles a fairy tale castle and has a dragon on the roof.

Many of the attractions that used to be in that theme park have since been relocated to nearby Clark's Ellioak Farm. To see them, check out my other video at:

  • Yes, the music came from GarageBand. It's among the many music clips that Apple provides with the application and it's essentially royalty-free.
