If you guys listen to the noise of the motor and sing the EMERGENCY! ld tv show them song at the same time it goes together!! The sound of the motor is the theme song beat.

@911caddy That may have been it. Right as the old 174s(?) were being retired but before they went to jet sonics there was an a Andy Griffin looking beacon for two years or so. The "Troop" was forbidden from mods to equip. even wig wag hdlmps. were a no no back then. (We did) :-O

I like these better than the newfangled stuff they have now. The LED models are good, but this is better. Back when they could make quality things. 5 stars.

I remember modding some Fl. trooper gum ball machines in the '80s. The model # escapes me but they were rubber belt driven and by placing a piece of fuel line type hose over the motor shaft, increasing it's diameter, those lights would spin really fast. Almost toss the bulbs out, fast. The troopers loved it. DT

@911caddy I do not remember what brand they were but they were rubber belt driven.

If they were a beacon similar to this I'm guessing the Federal cj184. It had an o-ring as it's final drive due to the siren speaker mounted directly under it.
