A screencast on how to install PostgreSQL (aka postgres) using homebrew on Mac OS X (Snow Leopard) and set it up for doing work with the Ruby on Rails framework. Also useful for Rubyists generally. This may no longer be necessary for Lion.

Great video. If you are running OSX 10.7, which has postgres bundled, createuser fails. Problem is solved by following the following post on Stackoverflow titled "Repairing Postgresql after upgrading to OSX 10.7 Lion"

One viewer encountered problems with their test database getting deleted and not being able to be recreated on each test run. They asked I list this against the video:
I am sure it would help others if you put an addendum to the video that said when you create a user, you should click yes when they are able to create databases if you are working with rspec or cucumber.
