From what i can make out... She first wields a lance at her right hand, and a shield at her left. It only becomes a BigAss Sword when combined.. But, the way she actually used it to attack to enemy, really do look as if she's using a lance. But hey, you can use a sword for those 'thrust-type' attacks too...
