I agree with the comments about the use of the gas grill - I think the reason she needs all of the sweet ingredients is that there is no flavor from the smoke! With a nice mesquite/hickory and charcoal fire just a little brown sugar or juice would be all you need.

Best left for 2 days marinading. Served with Dauphinoise potatoes and green beans is the best.

I like the marinade - will use the pineapple, not the brown sugar.
But every bbq vid from Aus uses a gas burner - that's not BBQ!

if you're using gas , it ain't Bar-B-Q.
Note to video maker, using gas is "grilling" using Charcoal is Bar-b-Q
