It's all about which knot goes best to which tie. The knot compliments the tie, not the othe way around.
That said, It's clear that the "Windsor" is the most popular of all knots. Not without reason.

You are actually right, I never thought about it but it is exactly like the Windsor. Unlike the Windsor though, it starts inverted, thus eliminating one turn and making it slightly smaller than the Windsor. Thanks for your input!
