Scouting Big Drop 2 and 2.5 we watched several rigs make the run. The water was around 28,000 CFS. A few oar boats maneuvered through safely, and a few bigger motorized boats cruised by. Then this oar boat got too far right of the marker rock and enjoyed a bit of surfing on Little Niagra before getting tossed. All passengers and gear were safely recovered downstream with the help of about 65 people and guides. Sickie sickie!

  • Watching this from shore I felt like I was watching it on the internet. Couldn't believe it was for real! Very glad you all are safe. My crew got down stream and helped peel off the gear and get the frame back upright on the boat (the Tour West crew). What a scene! You can see in the video your cooler of steaks floating off by itself. It was a collaborative effort and good to see everyone helping pull swimmers in and re-rigging the boat. What a day! Cheers ya'll.

  • well that sucked. next time your in a hole like that row out not back in lol hope everybody was ok

  • ok so a couple of things one they only had 4 straps holding the frame on they usually have 8 straps and second the 4 straps that they did have holding the frame in were old and worn out other than loosing three straps i dont think they lost anything else in that so called flip the guide knows how to strap stuff down really well you can see when it is falling off everything is tied down to the frame!

  • faulty gear bad swim too i bet

  • not good who was in charge of strapping the Frame? haha lots of gear lost.

  • Umm. Was the frame even rigged properly? I looks like it just fell off.

  • I swam that hole after a quick surf in an open dory once at about 30,000 Was bounced off the bottom a couple times and held under for a while. It split the bow open on the dory and we spent the night mending her up. Good Timez!

  • Karen (K-Love) rocks! and I get to work with her! This is some crazy stuff.

  • Wow. that's what I'm talking about!

  • K-Love, what a ride! I am glad to hear that all made it out an real injuries. Wish that I went on that trip with you, now I am even more disappointed. You are still the best burley boat woman that I know, and those passengers are dang lucky they had you as their guide.
