Beutiful, but too short! Love the deep rich tone of his hurdy gurdy. Do you know the maker of his instrument? I realize that the player makes all the difference, but some instruments do sound like crap, this is is astonishingly beautiful. Thanks for posting!

It´s a Zanfona o Zanfoña (it´s on description..but in Spanish).

A medieval instrumet. You can get it in Spain from 1.500 € up to...a lot

I had one in my hands a few times. I think some people call it hurdy-gurdy.

May be is a Zanfona Weichselbaumer, know they exist.

This instrument often is made by the musician himself. search on tube "Uzh i ya li moloda" i think that one is hand made.

@cesarscreamo it´s an Alto by Wolfgang Weichselbaumer, it´s price is nowadays around 8.000 euros. (but it´s definitely worth it, it´s something like Stradivari with a handle)

i'm fairly certain that this hurdy gurdy was built by weichselbaumer - possibly their 'tenor' model. i agree it has such a gorgeous, rich sound. :)
