Oxford street hill in White Rock, BC has a 23% grade in spots and is about one kilometre long. Not the kind of hill you want to lose your brakes. Driving up Oxford truly tests the power of your car too. I used to drive my dad's huge Oldsmobile with the gas down to the floor....the amount of gas it used was horrific. The city usually shuts Oxford down when it snows. Canada/US boundary runs through Semiahmoo Bay. In the background is Whatcom County, Washington State. The old building at the end served as a Pacific Stage Lines bus station in the 1950's and 60's.
