  • @wot2wot2 it's the cj pv10a pre amp so it comes with a nice 3 valve phono stage in there already, huge improvements to the timbre and realism to the instruments, especially wood instruments and vocals. I don't think I could ever go back to solid state..

  • @idektron must be a big improvment on the linn , i am using croft at the moment. what phono stage?

  • @wot2wot2 thanks, it does sound great in real life, I recently changed the pre amp to a conrad johnson so now have a valve line stage & phone stage !

  • @wot2wot2 great set up

  • @wot2wot2 yeah i know, i know.. just joking really. the radiator is never actually on & if anything I use the valve amp as a heater come winter ! inefficient & expensive i'm sure.. having everything arranged that way in that room with furniture gives best sonic results i've found.

  • @idektron too much heat will shorten life of a valve , thats why they are black inside ' black body radiation' they cannot use convection to control temperature inside a vacuum . you often see valves surrounded by holes to combat over heating

  • @wot2wot2 but they love the heat...

  • get the valves away from the radiator

  • @Migkiller1971 Thank You !

  • Nice rig Man!!
