You're absolutely right! We always considered Lincoln to be "the fifth Prep" and without him the Preps would never have achieved the recording success we enjoyed. He was a genius as early as junior high school.
THANK YOU LINC!

@TheFourPreps Mr Belland: THANK YOU for the treasure that is 26 Miles. One of those songs that I can never get enough of. The wife and I are making our first visit to Catalina this year. You can bet that your wonderful classic will be the soundtrack to our vacation. Thank You again; and good news about the the band reforming.

Watched this again (for about the 10th time) on the local PBS station. Still play both on my guitar - same four chords and everybody knows it. Great song, Bruce, and the 26-Miles is something everyone of my grandchildren and children love. Ya done good, pal....

Great as always to hear real music performed by talented people-Wish you'd do another PBS special.

@Bob65001 As an inner-city kid of the 1980's (West Coast), I actually prefer this style over hip-hop, rap, heavy metal, and even 2000's-era country music.

Just finished watching this special on PBS and had to have a listen one more time! Still as great as it was back in my childhood. One of my all time favourites from the 50s. My thanks for posting. For the young people of today who don't know this era and what good music is, I can only say I'm sorry...To echo the words of an earlier comment, they still have it! May they continue to "have it" for many more years!
Thank you very much.
