OH you know I was thinking you could still plug in the power strip right you can plug it into the female end

@TheSerpentman yeah you could do it that way if you wanted but if you want it to have a power strip it would be better to wire the strip into the ranco. the more stuff you have plugged in... the more wattage it robs from whatever your heating....but it would work that way too.

I plan on getting one of these and hooking it up to my freezer. So here is the idiot question. You have a male end of an extension cord and a power strip hooked up to it, but how do you connect that to a refrigerator?

@silasmoon Im not to sure about freezer applications, but i would think you would plug the ranco into the wall and plug the refrigerator/freezer into the ranco. Then set the ranco on cooling mode and program it to whatever temp your shooting for in your freezer. Either that or instead of wiring a power strip to the ranco you could just hardwire the freezer to the ranco in the power strips place and still wire the male end onto the ranco and plug that in
