Acorn Hospice named the winner of Homebase's community makeover competition

After 488 community projects were nominated to receive a transformation worth up to £10, 000, Acorns Children's Hospice in the Black Country, West Midlands, was named the winner after receiving a over a third of the public vote. Now, 2 new rooms later, it's a brighter place to be.

There were many places across the country in need of a bit of extra care and attention, but following a lengthy public vote the Acorn's Children's Hospice was chosen as the nation's favourite place to undergo a well-deserved transformation.
