Peace and healing to the soldiers and their dogs! Dogs have a long history of bringing comfort and healing to American soldiers. In the Civil War, the many dogs who accompanied soldiers for both sides helped to raise soldiers' morale at one of the bleakest times in our history. You can read about them here:
