Crysis on Low-Medium settings

PC=HP dv9500t
8600m gs
intel core 2 duo 7500 2.2ghz
2gb ram

Game Settings-
Everything to Medium except Objects
AA is off
Resolution = 800x600 (eww haha)

I get average of 20-30 fps. Lowest it goes to is about 15. This game needs at least 15 I think. Otherwise it'll lag when you shoot. Which sucks :/

Side Notes - Vista came preloaded, but couldn't even play the game on low with avg 15 fps. So I installed XP and it works great now. Only problem was that HP doesn't support XP. So you need the intel sata drivers to get XP to detect the hard drive, plus all the other drivers you'll need to get XP with graphics/sound, quick buttons, webcam...

Enjoy :)

  • Hey CrazyNinjaMike, do you own Warhead? If not it's probably something to consider. Since it apparently gives a performance kick aka less laggy fights. A must need for myself.

  • Hey I saw your response, nice man! I posted a comment on it, well 2 actually hehe. I don't own Crysis Warhead yet. I'm actually looking to build a desktop PC that can max out Warhead and Farcry 2. I want to get the full feel first time around on these next 2 games. Might make the experience better, if it's the first time WITH the highest graphics. Thanks for comment!

  • Thanks, and myself might be thinking about buying the full experience, with I new PC also. Maybe not a laptop with stereo sound, this time! But I'm probably going to get Farcry 2 and Warhead and see how they run on the laptop anyway. I hope to see how well Crysis/Farcry2 will run on your new PC.

  • I sure will make a video of it when I make the PC. Probably won't be for a long time though, but oh well, when I do get to play them, it'll be sweet and max graphics :)

    And yes, farcry 2 and crysis warhead will work great on our laptop. It will perform slightly better than original Crysis.

  • nice review, only problem i see... palm trees don't float. as they are shrubs.

  • heating problems?

  • hp computers are best at gaming cuz most of their comps have dedicated cards

  • cool dude! glad to hear it. Yea the 9600m GT is AMAZING! You did a great job buying your laptop :). Just for dedicated graphics cards, look into getting a laptop cooler if your notebook gets too hot when you play Crysis.

  • Holy sh*t !

    I tried what you told me and it worked, i can now play crysis on high with no lag (I did have to turn down blur just a tad).

    Much appreciated man, the fire fights are pretty damn intense now !
