DiPietro has played 5 games since March of 2007.
Dwayne Roloson is a glorified backup goaltender.
Your season is over, and it hasn't even begun yet.

Dwayne Roloson is old, yes, but he's also coming off possibly the best year of his career. And yes, Dipietro still exists, he had injuries the past couple years, just like Gaborik.

Gilroy, Anisimov, and one of McDonaugh or del Zotto will more than likely be on the Opening Night roster.
Dany Heatley is NOT a Ranger right now because the Rangers were unwilling to deal these guys.

Dwayne Roloson is 100 years old. Biron is a clown who got wins playing in front of a good team in Philly. It all boils down to both being slightly above average, and nothing special.
Does Rick DiPietro still exist, or even belong in the conversation?

You forget the fact that since the Rangers are so bent on winning immediately, their young players will probably get traded/stuck in the AHL.

Roloson and Biron are mediocre starters past their prime, who could step in and not embarass a team like Danis and MacDonald. Nothing more, nothing less.
Gaborik scored 40 goals in a trap system with Aaron Voros on his line.
Defensively based team in hockey? You are aware Renney was fired and Tortorella, who is one of the best offensive-minded head coaches in the NHL, was hired, right? Do your homework buddy.
