Dear Mr Murdoch -- a  personal note from Queen's Roger Taylor.

Rock band Queen's Roger Taylor is making his personal views on the current Murdoch-gate dramas publicly heard, and as would be natural from a highly accomplished songwriter/musician/singer, Taylor is doing it through his music.

  • @azzyandlexie greatest asset? Fox is a well known piece of right wing shit hence why there is a massive green bar below the video...go figure.

  • @azzyandlexie he isnt a good man... he has had peoples phones hacked because he felt like it would be a fun idea. and when freddie was ill and dying, murdoch sent his papers to stalk him at his house and follow him around. they made him a prisoner in his own home. do you really think murdoch a 'good man'??!!

  • Dear Mr Magnetto Argentinian.

  • @azzyandlexie Have you ever watched a documentary called "Outfoxed"?

  • @SwingRiots I am not oblivious as to when the song was written, being a huge QUEEN fan myself. I was just saying I do not agree with this particular point. I do find Rupert Murdock a good man... That is my opinion ~ that is all. Roger Taylor has a right to sing about anything he so chooses. Do you recall the "News of the World" album? I suppose it was a stab at that tabloid which Rupert bought in 1969, taking over the "News of the World" and then "The Sun."

  • @azzyandlexie In the case of the phone hacking, he probably was oblivious (possibly because he's as senile as Thatcher). But, I suggest you do some research before you call Murdoch a "fine person". Roger first wrote this song in 1994...that was well before we knew about the phone hacking.

  • As you know, Fox news is one of Rupert Murdock's greatest assets. "News of the World" has been in publication for 168 years before this mess. But as I said, this is just one paper out of all the media outlets Rupert Murdock has bought. I will still love QUEEN and even Roger Taylor, this is just not one of the songs I agree with.

  • I am a great QUEEN fan but I am not at all impressed with this song. I think Rupert Murdock is a fine person and is innocent of any wrongdoing here. Those responsible for the reporting of "News of the World" should and have been legally brought to light here, Murdock cannot be held responsible for every aspect of business done by those he intrusted to do right by him and this news paper, just one of many companies in his empire. I think Rupert did everything he could to clear up this matter.
