  • The fact that literally millions of people from around the world, perhaps100's of millions, came together at a single moment and jumped and down for joy and hugged one another is a moment I will NEVER forget.

  • We'll see how the folks in Chicago react in 2012 if Obama ends up being like Jimmy Carter.

  • U MAD

  • We most definately have skeletons, and quite a few. In terms of economic manipulation, Japan in the 1980's is the all-time champion: shamelssly selling below production costs with gov't support to eliminate the competition and so forth. In terms of intimidation, we're capable of turning this planet into a pile of rubble...as are several other countries, all of which exercise restraint. Like I said can't wair til gov't backs off and let's someone else babysit the world and spend my taxes in US

  • well we aren't an empire in the traditional sense. but, we are still an empire in my opinion. we rule thru intimidation..everyone shares a mutual undersdtanding of what we're capable of. we are also an empire in the sense that we manipulate economies and rule thru the use of business moreso than the military. but, we won't hesitate to use the military for special interests when necessary..i think our government and foreign policy has a lot of skeletons in the closet.

  • Americans. Unfortunately the world has a nasty habit of blowing itself to hell and the moment the US stops attempting to solve everyone's problems, it gets worse. I'm not defending US intervention in int'l affairs, like i said bring the troops home and spend my tax money fixing the problems in my own damn country. Iraq never should.have.happened. Iraq should never have been created by the British and the war never should have happened. USA; the hand that feeds; World: mouth that bites

  • It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation when it comes to US foreign policy because, really, there's never been anything like it before. The world only thinks in terms of empires and such, which America has never had (if you want to argue that US bases and " US cultural domination" are the same thing, then you don't understand what empires are). Personally, I'd like to pull out of every country and see that money spent on universal healthcare and free education at all levels for

  • I swear you could almost hear the collective sigh of relief from the country when it was official. After 8 years of president shit-for-brains, this was truly a welcome sight! :-)

  • Why is there 52 million dollars in the stimulus going toward STD prevention? Why isn't Obama talking about his exit date in Iraq anymore? Why isn't Obama doing the tax cuts he promised? Why did he appoint people in his office who owe over 100k to the IRS? Why is he wasting a 70% approval rating on living out his lies?

Ignorance is why Obama got elected.

  • Liberals never fail. Jimmy Carter was the only one. WE always end up cleaning up your messes.
