The leading boat 'Isabella Fortuna' has her restored original Kelvin K3, a 3-cylinder petrol diesel engine, proving more reliable than 'Reaper' with her new Daewoo L136 installed in 2005! The Kelvin K3 is a very quiet, Low Speed Direct Drive motor while 'Reaper' has the modern High Speed reduction gear equivalent, true marine diesel - not a lorry engine! The Anstruther museum did not restore Reaper's rare Kelvin L4, but later stripped it for common parts in a bid to keep the Wick boat running!
