Ruby Turner from just down the road from me. :o) If you ever get the chance to obtain this Vinyl pressing, and you have a good system, then play this at a good volume, and I swear the hairs on your skin will stand up - it's that good! Playing this track on your pc, well, you won't hear it at it's best. Originally recorded by Etta James in 1969 but it's been covered by a host of other artist since then. Ruby' vocals on this are stunning. An absolute classic. Enjoy. Jive label - 1986.

  • this is my fave version fo this song. love it

  • Pure class...

  • Oh, you got that right. Still makes the hairs on my neck stand up and I've heard it 1,000 times before on Vinyl. Shame she didn't fall into a decent relationship with a superior producer--more accurately, it's a shame she was born into a world practically devoid of intelligent producers, financial supports and truly knowledgable music lovers...

  • had this album on vinyl myself when i was a teenager in the 80's another great song was I'm in love. sometimes i wish I'd kept some of my rare vinyl but I just wouldnt have the time to listen nowadays

  • This is more like it.

This is exactly what I want!!!

  • Pure soul at its best.

  • still stands as the definitive of this for me, not many cover versions surpass the original but Ruby Turner definitely had it going on here!
