I don't know were you get that information from. The last tram will leave the city at 00:15AM. And after that time you can take nightbusses every 15 of 30 minutes to all the places inside and outside the city.

The nightbusses do not require an expensive ticket.

If I recall correctly, for the location I was going to, the last tram left around 11:30. It may have been one of the less frequent routes. You are right, I should have taken the night buses, but the bus routes did not pass near our hotel, although if I were to do it again I would have taken the bus and walked for a couple kilometers.

Strange. The last trams depart at 0.00 from all terminals,and 0.15 from the Centraal Station. From 0.30 there excists a nightbussystem.

"The nightbusses do not require an expensive ticket." Pff, stop lying you! Those nightbuses are expensive, but if you have a 24,48 or 72 hour travel ticket you don't have to pay. But if not, make sure you have some coins with you
